Geocaching dry creek
Started hiking at 10:29, made it to the ridge top campsite at about 4:38 then headed back down at 4:04.  Made it out at at 8:52 just as twilight was setting in.  Trail is in good shape up to the creek, after that there are a few blowdowns.    6 hours up 5 hours down.
Lake Cushman has been raised by 57 feet and is now right next the trail for the first mile.  Activity is starting up at the cabins with some people logging their property and others maybe have constructed a crane for building a cabin.

Causeway gate will be locked for the season as construction crews repair the Copper Creek and Elk Creek washouts.  Wildlife Gate above Elk Creek might remain closed even if the washouts are fixed.
My track log says 13 miles but my mapped route says 11 miles.  We hiked slow so maybe that confused my GPS(r) .  The barometric pressure changed a lot too so my elevation log is messed up.

11 miles with 2,300 feet elevation gain

That 'not poison oak' is Rubus nivalis, or snow bramble, a species of blackberry.

Dry Creek trail is one of my favorites.
