Matsutake and Hedgehogs

Matsutake Button from the Olympic National Forest

Hedgehog in the ground

What are these?

Admirable Bolete (I think)

The haul

I think I broke my record for the most ever hedgehogs in one day. I also found one Matsutake button.

My ankle is still a bit floppy, but there is no real pain. I'm pretty happy with it.

I'm not sure how many mushrooms will be left if the biomass plants get approved and begin to operate, as they will remove everything from the forests.

See the biomass tab at the top of the page or visit http://sheltonprogressive.blogspot.com to learn more about the proposed wood incinerators that are threatening our forests.
