Mid South Fork Skokomish
One last hike before the gates close. Autumn colors are out and mushrooms are popping. A nice day in the woods in spite of my late start and my now near constant worries of my house being burglarized while I am out hiking with the dog.
There is a chill in the air and I have switched to my winter day hiking gear. I took out the sunscreen and packed my warmer layers. I did leave my rain pants at home though, it seems too early to start dragging those everywhere.
Sage found feces to roll in. What a jerk.
I walked until the trail was obliterated by a large fallen old growth snag and then I turned back and had lunch.
8 miles with 895 feet in total elevation gain on an up and down route.
The next post is about:
South Skokomish
