It's raining, it's pouring, the mushrooms are a sporing. I still have not been hiking since July. The PT gave me the go ahead to hike but I'm still not sure. Maybe I'll test it out tomorrow. I'm looking forward to fall hikes in the rain. Hiking in the rain on a weekday is a pretty sure way to get the trail all to yourself.
I missed all of the busy summer hiking season.. This was the week that I planned to do Mount Saint Helens. After labor day you don't have to pay to climb it and there is still no snow, so it's a good time to go.
Oh well, maybe next year, if my ankles don't fall apart. If my ankle totally fails I will switch to mountian biking on logging roads.
