Lake Slimy Egg

Back to the same old close to home hike that I don't like to talk about too much.  Back to good old Lake Slimy Egg.  I was not feeling well, so I took a short cut that saved a mile and I had two cups of coffee at lunch time.

South Mountain

Back up South Mountain to look for my sit pad.  I knew I did not leave it at the top, but I had not seen it since my hike up there.  Rain again, so much rain.  I brought my brand new used camera anyway.  I found my sit pad at a little campsite about half way up.

On the top, wind kept me from pitching my tarp.  But the rains and snow mix stopped and out came the sun and some chances for silhouette shots.  I got a few shots today that I really like.

Lake Slimy Egg

Clear Lake

Another underwater hike this week.  The only bad part is water on the lens and fog on the lens and a lens cloth that is too wet to deal with it.

Hot coffee with cheese on crackers under magical cuben fiber at the lake.

Got a few good pictures in spite of the rain.

Was amazed to find nice winter mushrooms and my favorite variety!  A nice new mushroom picking spot for me.

I seem to have stopped doing steep hikes.  The all day long flat hikes are more fun and easier on the joints.
