The following ONP Olympic National Park trails are closed due to fires:
Duckabush
Dosewallips
West Fork Dosewallips
Lake Constance
Inciweb
Hood Canal Webcam
Residents worried about smoke
ONP fire updates
We went to the ocean to get away from the heat. Westport was a chilly 75 degrees and windy. As usual I hated driving through Mc Cleary and seing the dead tree tunnel that used to awe me when I was a child. The tree tunnel has been reduced to stumps and signs boasing about when the area was replanted. Big whoop, I'll be dead before those trees can get that big again. Added to the sadness are signs asking where Lindsay Buam is.
Montesano was cool in fact temperatures were tolerable everywhere except for Mc Cleary.
