Steel Creek Shelter Site?

I tried to find the site of the old steel creek shelter on the South Fork of the Skokomish. I drove until the road ended and found a water fall and a camping area that looked like it had been used a lot over the years. I also found a strange structure that was not part of a Forest Service Shelter but must have sheltered someone.

I would like to know more about the trail that used to lead to the Steel Creek Shelter. Where did it go? When was is logged?
